“As Jaycees, we take initiative to solve local challenges. Instead of focusing on one charity or service project, we are focused on sustainable impact locally and globally. It only takes one active citizen to change the world. Be that active citizen today. “
The Community Development area of opportunity focuses on our members’ impact on our local community and encourages our members to find ways and develop projects that make life on our community (the Richmond metro area) and the world better.
This area of opportunity includes all of our community service projects, charity work, etc., as well as our work to encourage involvement by our members in local, state and national government (e.g., voting drives, meet the candidate forums, visits to the legislature, U.S. Capitol, White House).

Training opportunities cover everything from escaping a burning building to managing a retirement account. There’s something for everyone. However, projects include not only formal training, but also social events.
